Dog Days of Summer - August 26, 2008

It has been a long hot summer here in Texas, and a busy one for the Cannon Team! We have been rocking and rolling here, closing on helicopters since June 1st, with another one about to close this week!

So far this summer we have found great new homes for a Bell 206L3 in Argentina, a brand new Bell 206B3 in the UK, A Eurocopter EC120B in the States, and .

A New Home for Cannon Aviation - 505 Terminal Drive!
June 5, 2008

We just moved into our fabulous new offices and hangar space next door to the Terminal at the Georgetown Municipal Airport. Be sure to drop by and say hello if you are in the area. We'll treat you to the grand tour, or you can just have a seat in our lobby and watch the planes take off on the runway! I may be biased, but I am pretty sure we now have the best view at the airport.

The Loss of our Friend Larry Hagerman -
How you can help his family - April 16, 2007

As many of you know our dear friend Larry Hagerman, owner of Aircraft Certification Services in Taylor, Texas, lost his life in a tragic accident on Thursday April 10.

Many of you have asked what you can do for Larry's Children, so we wanted to share the following message that Brad Benne sent to us this morning:

"I have received many e-mails asking what/how/where can help be provided. Following are two ways to help:

Gift Cards

Donations +

Donations can be made to either the First Baptist Church Pflugerville-Building Fund, or the Hagerman Children Trust.

Larry & Denetta were very active members in the Church and gave significantly of their time, money, and talents to the Church. It was their wish to see the Church grow through your gifts.

Donations for either can be sent directly to the Church. Make the check payable to First Baptist Church Pflugerville with a note in the memo section as to how the funds are to be used (‘Building Fund-Hagerman' or ‘Hagerman Children'). Checks can be mailed directly to the Church at:

Another Industry First for Cannon Aviation! May 2008

We're excited to announce that the second of two new 119's just left for its new home in Kazahkstan. This will be the first ever Agusta Koala in Kazahkstan! The first one went to South Africa.

Deakon Carson in the News! - October 23rd, 2007

The new air control tower at the Georgetown Municipal Airport (home of Cannon Aviation Group) was dedicated this morning. Our very own Deakon Carson was interviewed for our local ABC affiliate, KVUE 24 news. Deakon was chosen out of all of the airport and city officials present- not even the Mayor was interviewed! It's just further proof that when you need an aviation expert you need someone from Cannon to answer your questions! Rotorsales Book Club Pick - October 10th, 2007

Just consider us the Oprah of the helicopter world - we'll tell you what we're reading so you can read it too! The awesome marketing department over at Randomhouse Publishing just sent us all copies of "The God Machine- From Boomerangs to Black Hawks: The Story of the Helicopter" by James R. Chiles. Publishers Weekly calls it "An engaging blend of pop science and pop culture.... Our Favorite Heli- 2000 EC120B Now Available
September 11, 2007

One of Cannon Aviation's favorite helicopters is the Eurocopter EC120B. We love them so much that we find every excuse we can to go out flying when we have one in the hangar. The other day we took this 2000 model out to fly over the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" house- everyone needs to see that from the air don't they? This awesome helicopter is immediately available, even though we'll hate to see it go. Look at the spec sheet here, and email us if you'd like any additional info.

By the way, we didn't see anything spooky going on at the "Chainsaw" house. It looked just like any other house in a Texas corn field as you can see below.

The Stork Visits Cannon Aviation Group - Twice!

Jose Hernandez and his wife welcomed their second child, a beautiful baby boy named Jose in April.

Cannon Aviation Group delivered the first dual hydraulic AS350B3 available in the United States to one of our loyal repeat customers. This is the third brand new Eurocopter we have delivered to our clients this year. We completed a new AS350B2 for another of our repeat clients this spring, and completed an EC120B for a first time customer as well. Georgetown Airport's New Control Tower -
Progress Report
November 22, 2006

We're very excited that the Georgetown Municpal Airport will soon have its own control tower. The new tower will be located directly next door to Cannon Aviation Group's office! Today they finished putting up the last of the walls, and placed the large "cab" on the top of the tower. We hopped in the EC120B and took these "exclusive" photos of the progress!

In commemoration of the Americans lost on September 11th, Cannon Aviation Group, Inc. joined thousands of other Americans by doing a good deed. Our office made a donation to the Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center, and took Care Bears and other toys for the center to share with abused children. We would like to encourage you to do a good deed as well. Just pledge to do something great below, then go out and do it!

Heliexpo 2006 – Dallas, Texas February 25-28th

Hello to all of our friends, new and old, which we just saw at the 2006 Heliexpo Convention in Dallas, Texas! We had a great time at the show, and enjoyed seeing all of you.

We had this gorgeous Bell 206B3 on display in the static area this year. It's one we refurbished in 2004, and it looks better than a brand new one. Even better, it's now for sale! Bell 407 Imported from Turkey

As a part of our new blog, we've decided to keep you updated on all of the exciting things happening here at the office. Take a look at this awesome Bell 407 we just imported from Turkey:

Bell 407 Imported by Cannon Aviation from Turkey

We helped our client in Utah purchase this aircraft in Turkey, and made all of the arrangements for its disassembly and shipment from Istanbul. It made it's way across the Atlantic, and arrived here in beautiful condition. We also handled the export from Turkey, and the import into the USA. Now it's being configured for EMS work in Seattle before going to it's new home in Utah. We almost hate to see the new interior go in, because the corporate interior was perfect.

This is the second Bell 407 we've sold in the last 9 months. We imported the other one from Switzerland, and sold it to Bell helicopter. Here's a photo of it playing in the snow before it came to the United States last fall:

We've got exciting news about the Eurocopter AS350B3 for 2007! Eurocopter has announced plans to begin producing and selling a dual hydraulic system AS350B3 here in the States.
