Sikorsky Grabs 24,190 SF of Ft. Worth Office Space
By GlobeSt.com - Connie Gore 10/31/2006
FORT WORTH-Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. will turn on lights by year's end on a 24,190-sf regional office in southwest Fort Worth. The Stratford, CT-based company has committed to stay at least five years in the class A office space.
Sikorsky's lease bumps occupancy to 100% in First Command Plaza, a four-story building with First Command Financial Services as owner and lead tenant. The 138,000-sf building at 4800 Overton Plaza was "one of three or four" on Sikorsky's short list, says Kirk Kelly with NAI Huff Partners, who teamed with principals Kyle Poulson and Jack Huff to snag the top-ranked credit tenant. The building's extra space had been marketed at $20.50 per sf on a full-service basis.
"We had to get fairly aggressive being a full floor of their size," Kelly tells GlobeSt.com. "But, Fort Worth doesn't often get tenants in that size range so we had to take advantage of that. Sikorsky is a good credit tenant so we're happy to have them in that building."
