Dart Helicopter Services expands their line of flight steps to include over 60 different step models

With the recent certification of flight and float steps for the Bell Model 412, Dart Helicopter Services now offers over 60 different step models designed to meet just about any landing gear and float configuration.  Flight and float steps are now available for the Bell 206, 407, OH-58, Medium Bell, Eurocopter AS 350 / AS 355, EC 120 and Agusta A119.

"Dart Helicopter Services is pleased to feature a full line of light-weight and durable steps to Bell, Eurocopter and Agusta operators with varying operational requirements" commented Jeff Shapiro, CEO of Dart Helicopter Services.

The Light Bell and Eurocopter steps feature a unique duplex clamping system that self-locks when weight is applied to prevent the step from slipping down the crosstubes.  The Bell steps are designed to be torsionally stiffer than other steps on the market, eliminating any rolling tendency.  The Eurocopter steps accommodate most any landing gear height, float compatibility and step length requirements.

The fuselage mounted Medium Bell steps are available in several styles from multiple manufacturers.  Regardless of the specific requirements for compatibility, DHS has steps to accommodate most customer needs.  DHS offers steps for installation on low, high and extended high landing gear, with Simplex and Isolair Tanks, with OEM and Apical flotation systems, and step variations including folding, fixed and heavy duty.  Most recently, Dart has added a float compatible folding pilot/co-pilot step to assist crew entering and exiting the aircraft.

Apical Industries has selected the Dart Heli-Access-StepsTM to be included as part of the FAA approved installation for their Bell 212/412 Tri-Bag Emergency Float System with optional integrated Liferafts.
